§ 115.06  REVIEW OF LICENSE APPLICATION; ISSUANCE; POSTING.
Upon receipt of an application, the Board of Supervisors of the township shall review the license application and operational plans contained therein. The township shall consider, in the granting of the license, the suitability of the premises proposed to be used for the purposes of a junkyard, the character of the property in the general area of the proposed junkyard and the effect of the proposed junkyard upon the township. If the application for a license to operate a junkyard otherwise meets the requirements of this chapter, the Secretary-Treasurer of the Board of Supervisors of the township shall indicate to the applicant, in writing, that his or her application has been preliminarily approved. The applicant will then be requested to construct a fence in accordance with § 115.07. Upon the fence being erected in accordance with this chapter and following inspection by the Ordinance Enforcement Officer of the township, the Secretary-Treasurer of the Board of Supervisors of the township shall issue a permit to the applicant designating the name of the junk dealer, the address of the junkyard and the applicable dates of the license. The junkyard license shall be conspicuously posted upon the premises operated as a junkyard.
