Upon receipt of an application, the Board of Supervisors of the township shall review the license application and operational plans contained therein. The township shall consider in the granting of the license, the suitability of the premises proposed to be used for the purposes of a salvage yard, the character of the property in the general area of the proposed salvage yard, the character of the property immediately adjacent to the proposed salvage yard and the effect of the proposed salvage yard upon the township. If the application for license to operate a salvage yard is granted, the Secretary-Treasurer of the Board of Supervisors shall issue a license to the applicant designating the name of the salvage dealer, the address of the salvage yard and the applicable dates of the license. The salvage yard license shall be conspicuously posted upon the premises operated as a salvage yard.
