§ 1 DISCHARGE OF AIR GUNS AND PROPULSION OF PROJECTILES.
   (A)   Findings. Upon review of the circumstances and the recommendation of the Safety Committee, Council finds and determines:
      (1)   The discharge of air guns and the propulsion of projectiles in the village creates a safety risk within the village; and
      (2)   The prohibition against the discharge of air guns and the propulsion of projectiles is in the interest of safety within the village.
   (B)   Prohibition. Prohibition against the discharge of air guns and propulsion of projectiles.
      (1)   No person shall throw, shoot, or propel an arrow, missile, pellet, stone, metal, or other similar substance capable of causing physical harm to persons, property, or animals in or on any public place, in or on the property of another, or from any private property into or onto any public place, or the property of another.
      (2)   No parent or guardian having custody or control of a minor child less than 16 years of age shall allow a minor child to throw, shoot, or propel an arrow, missile, pellet, stone, metal, or other similar substance capable of causing physical harm to persons, property, or animals in or on any public place, in or on the property of another, or from any private property into or onto any public place, or the property of another.
   (C)   Penalty. A violation of this section is a misdemeanor of the fourth degree.
