(A) The Fire Chief shall maintain an adequate training program for all members of the Fire Department.
(B) The Village Council hereby adopts a policy of non-intervention in the Chief’s administration of the programs, but the following are to be used as guidelines in the implementation of any program.
(1) All members of the Department must be familiar with the operation of all the equipment of the Department.
(2) The Chief shall conduct regular training sessions of the Fire Department as he or she deems best for the proper and efficient operation of the Department.
(3) The Fire Chief shall obtain approval of the Village Council before participating in any special training session offered by the State Fire Marshal’s office. Any expenses for training sessions, must be approved by the Village Council.
