§ 112.01 REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE REQUIRED.
   The practice of going in private residences, or private businesses, by solicitors, peddlers, hawkers, itinerant merchants and transient vendors of merchandise (collectively “solicitors”) not having been invited to do so by the owner or owners, occupant or occupants of private residences or a manager of a private business, for the purpose of soliciting orders for the sale of goods, wares, services, merchandise, periodicals and other articles or publications and/or disposing of and/or peddling or hawking the same without receiving a registration certificate from the village as set forth in this chapter is prohibited.
