§ 33.003 SALARY AND BENEFITS OF CHIEF OF POLICE.
   (A)   The annual salary range of the position of Village Police Chief is hereby established between $30,000 to $50,000 (“range”). The Council of the village may from time to time establish the annual compensation of the Village Police Chief within the range, payable according to the regular pay cycle of the village. The amount paid to this position shall be from the General Fund.
   (B)   The village shall pay its statutory required share of contributions on behalf of the Village Police Chief to the Ohio Police and Fire Pension Fund (OP&F).
   (C)   The village shall pay its required share of the medical and other applicable payroll taxes required by law in connection with the compensation paid to the Village Police Chief.
   (D)   The village shall provide workers’ compensation coverage on behalf of the Village Police Chief.
   (E)   The village encourages attendance at and participation in continuing education seminars and activities. The Village Council’s prior approval for the Police Chief’s attendance at specific continuing education seminars and activities is required. Once approved, the village shall pay continuing education seminar and activity expenses, which directly and specifically relate to the duties and responsibilities of the Police Chief, including but not limited to, course registration and fees.
   (F)   The village shall provide uniforms for the Police Chief.
   (G)   All other benefits will be as stated in the Village Personnel Manual.
