For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
BULK WASTE. Refuse that cannot be enclosed or retained in the refuse bag.
BULK WASTE TAG. The tag furnished and sold by the village for removal of bulk waste.
COLLECTION DAY. The day scheduled for removal of refuse. The day shall be made known to the public by way of public posting within the village or by notice in the Sidney Daily News and the day shall be determined by agreement between the village and the contractor.
CONTRACTOR. The person or firm under contract with the village for refuse removal service.
REFUSE. Garbage, trash, combustibles and non-combustible materials.
REFUSE BAG. The plastic bag furnished by the village and sold by the village or its agent for removal of refuse.
REFUSE REMOVAL SERVICE. Collection and removal of refuse, bulk waste, and yard waste as provided by the village.
YARD WASTE. Grass clippings, small twigs, weeds, and similar yard and garden debris.
YARD WASTE BAG. The plastic bag furnished by the village and sold by the village or its agent for removal of yard waste.
