The Mayor’s Youth Council consists of fifteen representatives appointed by the Mayor, with the assistance of an advisory committee. The advisory committee shall include one Council member, the City Manager, and two school representatives, one from Northview Middle School and one from Ankeny High School. Appointments shall be presented to the City Council for final approval. The City Council shall authorize any finances needed for the effective operation of the Youth Council, as requested by the Youth Council and recommended by the City Manager.
