15.03 APPOINTMENTS.

The Mayor shall appoint the Mayor Pro Tem, and the Mayor also appoints, with Council approval, the following officials:

1.   Park Board

2.   Arts Council

3.   Ankeny Sports Complex Foundation

4.   Library Board of Trustees

5.   Civil Service Commission

6.   Mayor’s Youth Council

7.   Board of Examiners and Appeals

8.   Zoning Board of Adjustment

9.   Human Rights Commission

10.   Economic Development Council

15.04 COMPENSATION.

The Mayor shall be paid as compensation the sum of ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00) per year, and shall be reimbursed for actual expenses incurred in the performance of duties, at the same rate and in the same manner as other City employees.

15.05 VOTING.

The Mayor is not a member of the Council and shall not vote as a member of the Council.
