This section shall not be construed to relieve from or lessen the responsibility or liability of any person, firm, or corporation owning, operating, controlling, or installing any electric wiring, devices, or equipment for damages to person or property caused by a defect therein, nor shall the Town of Andrews or Town assume any such liability by reason of the inspection authorized herein, or certificate of approval issued as herein provided or the license and certificate issued as herein provided.
