Each candidate for an elective town office shall be nominated by primary election to be conducted by the County Election Board in accordance with statutes governing primary elections for towns, and otherwise in accordance with I.C. 3-8-5-2 and other applicable provisions of state law, as those presently exist and are hereafter modified or superceded.
