(A) A residential customer may choose to temporarily suspend utility services while away for a minimum of two consecutive months, and not longer than five consecutive months. Utility bills shall not be pro-rated for a partial month’s usage.
(B) A written request must be completed in full and submitted to the Town Clerk-Treasurer prior to leaving town. It is the customer’s responsibility to inform the town of their departure and return dates.
(C) A $50 fee, to be split between water and wastewater accounts, shall be charged for each request and paid in full before the water service will be reconnected. All other billing will be suspended during the turn off period.
(D) Winterization of the indoor plumbing will be the decision and responsibility of homeowner. The homeowner, or an authorized representative, must be present at the home when the water is turned off and turned back on. Water shall be shut off at the meter.
