§ 32.41 RESERVE DEPUTY MARSHALS.
   (A)   Up to ten Reserve Deputy Marshals may be appointed by the Town Council.
   (B)   Reserve Deputy Marshals shall not be members of the regular Police Department and are not eligible to participate in any pension program provided for regular members, but shall have all of the same police powers as regular members, except as limited by the rules of the Department.
   (C)   To the extent that money is appropriated in the town budget, Reserve Deputy Marshals may receive any or all of the following:
      (1)   A uniform allowance;
      (2)   Compensation for time lost from other employment because of court appearances;
      (3)   Insurance for life, accident and sickness coverage; or
      (4)   Be covered by the medical treatment and burial expense provisions of Indiana’s worker’s compensation and worker’s occupational diseases laws.
   (D)   An individual shall not be appointed as a Reserve Deputy Marshal unless he or she has successfully completed a pre-basic course under I.C. 5-2-1-9(f) and has completed the training and probationary period specified by the rules of the Department.
