§ 131.01 DISCHARGING PROHIBITED.
   (A)   No person shall discharge, shoot, or fire any pistol, rifle, shotgun, air gun, pellet gun, or any spring or air operated gun capable of emitting projectiles, any slingshot, bow and arrow, crossbow, or any device designed to propel a projectile by explosives, or by air or by spring pressure within the corporate limits of the town except in cases where special written permission has been granted by the Town Marshal. Such permission given shall be revoked if unsafe and dangerous acts are evident.
   (B)   This section shall not be construed as prohibiting discharge of a weapon:
      (1)   In defense of life or property under otherwise lawful circumstances;
      (2)   By law enforcement officers in performance of their duties;
      (3)   Military functions, such as parades, funerals or firing blank cartridges.
   (C)   The Town Marshal shall establish guidelines for permits; these guidelines shall be received and approved by Council at Council's sole discretion.
