It shall be unlawful to canvas or solicit within the town for goods, books, wares or merchandise of any kind or to deliver these articles under those orders unless the person shall first obtain a license procured from the Town Clerk-Treasurer for which he or she shall pay the sum of $50 per day and the further sum of $1 to the Clerk-Treasurer for issuing the license. This canvassing may be done between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
