.010 No person shall bring a weapon into any building owned and operated by the City of Anaheim without permission of the City of Anaheim.
.020 The provisions of this Chapter shall not apply to any peace officer employed by the City of Anaheim, nor to any on-duty peace officer or peace officer acting or present at a City building in an official capacity.
.030 The term “peace officer” as used in this Chapter shall have the same meaning as used in California Penal Code § 830 et seq., and shall include a federal law enforcement officer who has powers of arrest under Penal Code § 830.8. The term “weapon” as used in this Chapter shall include a firearm as defined in Penal Code § 16520, a knife, dirk or dagger as defined in Penal Code § 16470, a deadly weapon as defined in Penal Code § 16430, a destructive device as defined in Penal Code § 16460, an explosive as defined in Penal Code § 16510, a generally prohibited weapon as defined in Penal Code § 16590, an imitation firearm as defined in Penal Code § 16700, and a switchblade knife as defined in Penal Code § 17235. If any of the foregoing Penal Code sections is renumbered, replaced or modified, the definition in the successor section shall apply. (Ord. 6472 § 1; November 5, 2019.)
