§ 51.04 WATER METERS.
   The meters installed to measure the water used by all water users shall be read by the City once each month, or as often as the City deems necessary, to accurately measure the water used, and all statements for water used shall be paid at the rates and at the times provided by this chapter. The Public Works Superintendent must have free and clear access to all water meters at all times. Access to the water meters must not be impeded in any manner, including, but not limited to, obstruction by shrubbery, trees, fences, or by unleashed animals. If the Public Works Superintendent is unable to gain access to a water meter, 24-hour notice will be given to the property owner to have the problem corrected or water service will be discontinued. If the obstruction has not been cleared within 30 days, the Public Works Superintendent shall remove said obstruction.
