This chapter shall not apply to those mobile homes outside trailer courts and within the residential zone of the city which, as of October 1, 1966, were being used as a place of residence; provided, however, that should any such mobile home be moved from its present location, it shall immediately lose its classification under this chapter. Provided, further, the Council reserves the right to order the discontinuance within a reasonable time of the use of a mobile home for sleeping or living purposes within a residential zone, upon reasonable notice or by amendment of this chapter.
