(A) The licenses issued to each person, firm, or corporation for the maintenance, operation, or location of an amusement device, except pinball and video arcade game machine or machines, in his, her, or their places of business shall be issued annually for each amusement device, and the license fee therefor shall be $25 annually; the license issued to such person, firm, or corporation for the maintenance, operation, or location of a pinball machine or machines shall likewise be issued annually for each such machine, and the license fee therefor shall be $50 per year, payable quarterly.
(B) It shall be unlawful to maintain, keep, or operate any such device that may be operated, played, or played upon, or used, unless a license has first been issued therefor in accordance with this chapter, and unless such device has affixed thereto, in a conspicuous place, a sticker or label evidencing the issuance of such license.
(C) No license shall be issued for any amusement device, as herein defined, which device, by reason of the playing or operation thereof, shall violate the provisions of the laws of the state or the ordinances of the City with reference to gambling and/or slot machines.
