§ 72.12 COMMERCIAL VEHICLES PARKING IN RESIDENTIAL ZONE.
   (A)   Commercial vehicle parking in residential zone.
      (1)   This section applies to the following vehicles: any truck, tractor, trailer, tractor-trailer, bus, or combination having a height of greater than nine feet or a length of greater than 20 feet, hereinafter referred to COMMERCIAL VEHICLE(S). This section applies to the following zones: Low Density Residential (R-1), Medium Density Residential (R-2), and High Density Residential (R-3), hereinafter referred to as RESIDENTIAL ZONE(S).
      (2)   Except as provided in this section, no person shall park a commercial vehicle, nor shall the owner of any commercial vehicle allow a commercial vehicle to be parked, on any street or public place located partially or wholly within a residential zone.
      (3)   Exceptions:
         (a)   Moving vans that are being actively loaded and/or unloaded; and
         (b)   Unless parking is otherwise prohibited, between sunrise and sunset, commercial vehicles parked for the purpose of loading and/or unloading, but for a period not to exceed two hours. The City Administrator may extend this time on a case-by-case basis.
      (4)   Commercial vehicles may be stored on private property located within a residential zone subject to the following conditions:
         (a)   Located within a garage or carport; or
         (b)   Parked or placed in accordance with the lot coverage and yard setback standards in accordance with the zone in which the properly is located.
   (B)   Exemptions. The provisions of this section shall not apply to a vehicle owned by a state, City, or County agency or a public utility while in the performance of their duties.
