The State of Iowa Plumbing Code consisting of the Uniform Plumbing Code, as prepared by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, as amended and currently adopted by the State of Iowa Department of Public Health, is hereby adopted. An alternative equivalent form of compliance to the State Code will be the “International Plumbing Code, 2018 Edition,” as published by the International Code Council which volume is incorporated herein by this reference as fully as though set forth herein in its entirety excepting only such portions as are herein stated to be deleted there from; and such additional provisions as are hereafter set forth. This chapter and all provisions incorporated herein by reference or otherwise, shall be known as the “Altoona Plumbing Code,” may be cited as such, and will be referred to herein as such and as “this code”.
