The snow removal parking ban is in effect from October through May or anytime snow and/or ice removal efforts are required. When the weather forecast predicts weather conditions that will require enforcement of the parking ban, a notice will be published on the City of Altoona’s and/or the Altoona Police Department’s Facebook and Twitter pages.
When this section is in effect, no person, except physicians or other persons on emergency calls, shall park or leave unattended any vehicle on any public streets within the City limits. This section shall not be construed as suspending parking limitations or restrictions imposed by any other sections of this chapter.
