7-2-6: OFFENSES INVOLVING WEAPONS:
   A.   Carrying Weapons: It shall be unlawful, within the city, for any person to carry or possess in any vehicle or concealed on or about his person, except when on his land or in his own abode or fixed place of business any pistol, revolver, firearm, metal knuckles or any knife commonly referred to as a switchblade knife, which has a blade that opens automatically by hand pressure applied to a button, spring or other device in the handle of the knife, blackjack, dagger, knife or razor used as a weapon, or any other dangerous or deadly weapon or instrument of like character unless the circumstances of the situation are such as are defined as exemptions in 720 Illinois Compiled Statutes 5/24-1 et seq.    B.   Firearms Discharged: It shall be unlawful for any person to fire or discharge any pistol, rifle or other firearm, or any air or gas propelled gun, or any stone, slug or similar projectile discharged by way of a slingshot or similar device, or any arrow discharged by a bow or similar device, except upon premises used by duly licensed shooting gallery, gun club, or rifle club or other establishments specifically licensed for such purposes by the city.
