7-1-7: DEAD ANIMALS:
No person shall leave or throw into any place or street or public water, or offensively expose or bury anywhere within the city the body, or any part thereof, of any dead or fatally sick or injured animal; nor shall any person keep any dead animal, or any offensive meat, bird, fowl or fish in a place where the same may be dangerous to the life or detrimental to the health of any person.
The director of public works shall be responsible for the prompt removal of dead animals found on the streets or public places within the city. The removal and disposal of dead animals shall be by a sanitary method, and shall be at the expense of the owner of such animal. (Ord. 6805, 3-24-2004)
