Video gaming is allowed in licensed establishments within the city; however, no establishment licensed by the Illinois gaming board shall be permitted to operate any video gaming terminal pursuant to the Illinois video gaming act unless the establishment has obtained a regulatory certificate as required by chapter 1 of this title and shall have paid a separate yearly fee to the city of Alton. The yearly fee shall equal two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) multiplied by the maximum number of video gaming terminals available on the premises for play at any one time during the year. No license shall be issued where the license applicant owes a debt, fine, fee, or penalty to the city of Alton. (Ord. 7470, 8-12-2015, eff. 1-1-2016)
