(a) A false alarm is defined as any signal actuated by an alarm system to which the police respond which is not the result of a holdup, robbery, burglary, or other crime, or emergency or malfunction. (Ord. 99-73. Passed 9-4-73.)
(b) The permit holder of an alarm system or device shall pay to the City a charge for each and every false alarm to which the police respond each calendar year, according to the following schedule:

No charge shall be made for the first two false alarms per alarm installation in any calendar year, nor shall there be any charge to a false alarm to which there is no response by police, nor when the cause has been proven to be an act of God.

(c) Any charge for a false alarm, as provided for in this section, which remains unpaid thirty days after date of invoice shall result in the cancellation of the permit.
(d) No person shall intentionally cause a false alarm.
