No person shall exhibit any public show, theatrical or other exhibition of any kind not prohibited by law, of whatever name or nature for which money or any other reward is in any manner demanded or received without having first obtained a license as provided in this chapter. Nor shall any person own, manage or operate any theater without obtaining such license.
