§ 2.44.030 APPOINTMENT, REGISTRATION AND QUALIFICATION OF MEMBERS.
   (A)   The members of the Police Reserve Organization shall be appointed by the City Manager on the recommendation of the Chief of Police.
   (B)   No person shall be deemed a member of the Police Reserve Organization until such member has been registered as such in a roster to be kept by the Chief of Police, and until he or she has taken his oath that he will observe and obey the Constitution of the United States of America, the constitution of the state, and the laws of the United States of America, the state, and the city, and that he or she is not now or at any time has been a member of any organization that advocates the violent overthrow of the government of the United States, and that he or she will carry out the duties of a member of the Police Reserve Organization to the best of his or her ability.
