§ 31.36 CITY JUDGE.
   (A)   Election of Judge. The City Judge shall be elected in the manner provided by statutory law every four years.

   (B)   Bond of Judge. Before entering upon the discharge of his or her duties, the City Judge shall execute a bond payable to the city in a penal sum based on current state-approved amounts and/or as set by City Council from time to time with good and sufficient surety, to be approved by the Mayor and filed in the office of the Clerk-Treasurer, conditioned for the faithful discharge of the duties of the office.

   (C)   Salary. The City Judge shall receive the salary provided by statutory law.

   (D)   Powers. The City Judge shall preside over the City Court and shall have the powers provided by statutory law.
