(A) Title. This chapter shall be known and may be cited as the Subdivision Control Code of the city.

(B) Purpose. This chapter is adopted in accordance with the city’s Comprehensive Plan for the following purposes:
(1) Assist the orderly and efficient development of the city;
(2) Promote the health, safety, morals, and general welfare of the residents of the city; and
(3) Secure equitable handling of all subdivision plans by providing uniform procedures and standards.
