Any animal found to be in violation of this chapter shall be impounded at the AAS or any other equivalent facility so designated by the ACO or Mayor for up to 72 hours. After such time, if the owner/keeper has not removed the animal from the AAS, the animal shall become property of the city and may be disposed of or adopted out to any third person the ACO deems appropriate.
