(A) The City Police Department is charged with the responsibility for inspecting and registering golf carts. The City Police Department shall also maintain records of the registration of golf carts and shall conduct annual renewals of the registrations in May of each year.
(B) The owner of a golf cart must provide the required proof of the required property damage and bodily injury insurance for a term of not less than one year for said vehicle to the City Police Department before the vehicle may be initially registered or annually renewed.
