§ 71.08 STATE SPEED LAWS APPLICABLE.
   (A)   The state laws regulating the speed of vehicles shall be applicable upon all streets within this city except as this code, as authorized by state law, hereby declares and determines, upon the basis of engineering and traffic investigations, that certain speed regulations shall be applicable upon specified streets or in certain areas. In such event, it shall be unlawful for any person to drive a vehicle at a speed in excess of any speed so determined when signs are in place giving notice thereof.
   (B)   Whoever violates this section shall be subject to the penalty provisions of I.C. 9-21-5-1(b).
