(A) The rules and regulations of the Police Department prepared by the Northern Kentucky Area Development District, are hereby adopted as the official rules and regulations of the Police Department, are made a part of this subchapter by reference, and a copy of the rules and regulations shall be kept with the City Clerk for inspection by the general public. On and after April 20, 1995, the Chief of Police is authorized and directed to prepare substitute provisions for the official rules and regulations of the Police Department. The Chief shall submit the substitute provisions to the Mayor and Council for adoption, as he finishes them. Until the Chief’s rules and regulations are totally complete, the official rules and regulations prepared by the Northern Kentucky Area Development District shall continue to be in full force and effect, except as repealed and replaced by the partial revisions as prepared by the Chief. It shall be the duty and responsibility of the Police Chief under direction of the Mayor, to enforce these rules and regulations.
(B) The city hereby adopts the Police Policies and Procedures Manual by reference.
