§ 155.10 ADOPT KENTUCKY STANDARDS OF SAFETY; THE FIRE CHIEF OF THE ALEXANDRIA FIRE DISTRICT OR DESIGNEE TO PERFORM ALL LIFE SAFETY/FIRE INSPECTIONS IN THE CITY.
   (A)   Pursuant to KRS 227.320, the City of Alexandria does hereby adopt the Kentucky Standards of Safety promulgated by the Commissioner of Housing, Buildings and Construction.
   (B)   The Fire Chief Of The Alexandria Fire District is hereby designated to operate a fire inspection program pursuant to KRS 227.320, who shall have primary jurisdiction for the enforcement of all property within the City of Alexandria boundaries except as provided in subparagraph (a)2. of 815 KAR 10:060 (unless otherwise delegated by the State Fire Marshal). The Fire Chief or his or her designee is hereby authorized to inspect property, issue permits for open burning authorized by the provisions of the Kentucky Standards of Safety, make written reports and recommend fire hazards to be remedied within his or her jurisdiction, or cause such property to be inspected by other officers or members of the Fire Department as the Chief may designate. The Fire Chief shall refer failures to comply with his or her recommendations to the State Fire Marshal for enforcement pursuant to KRS 227.330.
