§ 91.38 GRASS MOWING OF AREA ADJACENT TO PUBLIC STREETS.
   It shall be the duty of each and every person owning lots or real estate fronting and abutting on any publicly dedicated street in the city to mow all grass up to the publicly dedicated street, including all grass located in the public right-of-way, at his or her own expense, so far as the publicly dedicated road fronts or abuts upon his or her lots or real estate. Excessive growth of weeds or grass, including, but not limited to, the existence of thistles, burdock, jimson weeds, ragweeds, milkweeds, poison ivy, poison oak, iron weeds, and all other noxious weeds, rank vegetation, and grass in excess of a height of ten (10) inches in this above identified area shall be considered a public nuisance and the owner of the lots or real estate fronting and abutting the publicly dedicated street and public right-of-way shall be subject to the abatement procedures set forth in Chapter 92 of the City of Alexandria Code of Ordinances.
