The City Maintenance Supervisor shall, as a condition precedent to granting a permit under this subchapter, require the permittee to post a performance bond paid by cash or certified check in the amount of fifteen dollars ($15.00) per square foot, with a minimum of one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00), sufficient to defray the cost of performing the repair and restoration work that will arise out of the work to be done pursuant to that permit.
