8-1-7: INTERMENT:
Each interment of human remains shall be placed in a single box made of durable material and meeting industry standards for such use and a vault constructed of concrete, steel or other like durable material. No wood vault shall be permitted. No grave liner shall be required for any interment of human remains, but may be used if requested by the family. The Cemetery Sexton shall have the authority to deny the use of any container or vault if such item, in his opinion, does not meet industry standards, or, is detrimental to the operations or appearance of the cemetery or the health, safety and welfare of the cemetery staff or to the community. Such denial may be appealed to the City Council. (Ord. 03-17-08-1, 3-17-2008)
