§ 152.01  REGULATIONS ADOPTED.
   To provide the public with information concerning the potential of surface water inundation of certain areas of the jurisdiction of the municipality and to require that all new buildings or uses or additions within those areas shall be provided with proper flood protection; to promote the public health, safety and general welfare and to minimize those losses of life and property, health and safety hazards, disruption of commerce and governmental services, extraordinary public expenditures for flood protection and relief, and impairment of the tax base which result from the inundation of flood hazard areas; and to assure the Federal Insurance Administration that adequate land use and control measures with effective enforcement provisions are enacted and maintained in force for those areas having flood hazards, the flood hazard regulations for the village, have been adopted by Ord. 79, 5-3-1977 and published in pamphlet form. Three copies of the adopted flood hazard regulations shall be kept on file with the Municipal Clerk and available for inspection by any member of the public during office hours.
