For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
BUILDING SEWER and HOUSE SEWER. Includes the part of a house or building drainage system extending from the house or building drain to its connection with the main sewer.
INDUSTRIAL WASTES. The liquid wastes from industrial manufacturing processes, trade or business as distinct from sanitary sewage.
SANITARY SEWER. Includes a sewer which carries sewage and to which storm, surface and ground waters are not intentionally admitted.
SEWAGE. Includes a combination of the water-carried wastes from residences, business buildings, institutions and industrial establishments together with such ground, surface and storm waters as may be present.
SEWAGE WORKS. All facilities for collecting, pumping, treating and disposing of sewage as included in Sanitary Sewer District No. 1 of the Village of Alda, Nebraska.
SUPERINTENDENT. The authorized village agent responsible for the operation, repair and maintenance of the sewage works.
