§ 50.02 REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE.
   (A)   (1)   The town will provide at no charge to the property owner the labor and equipment needed for the repair or replacement of a defective water service line or sewer service line from the town’s water main or the town’s sewer main to the owner’s property line.
      (2)   The property owner shall be responsible for all repair or replacement of service lines contained on the owner’s property. The property owner will provide all material needed for all these repairs and same must be acceptable and compatible to American Waterworks Association standards for service line installation and will meet the town’s specifications or will be provided by the town and billed to the property owner.
   (B)   Maintenance of water service lines and sewer service lines will be the responsibility of the property owner, including but not limited to the cleaning and flushing of sewer service lines when required, preventing root obstructions by mechanically cleaning or chemically cleaning the sewer service lines, and other similar maintenance. The prevention or thawing of frozen water service lines will be the responsibility of the property owner from the town’s water main to the property in its entirety.
