(A) An employee who is “on call” is required to be available to respond to the workplace in a timely manner during nonscheduled working hours. Employees who are on an “on call” status may receive “on call” pay in accordance with the town’s current salary ordinance.
(B) Nonexempt employees will be compensated based on the employee’s current pay rate for a minimum of one hour of work if town-owned transportation is provided, or two hours of work if the employee provides his or her own transportation. All work, including unscheduled weekend work and town designated holidays, in excess of 40 hours in one workweek will be paid at an overtime rate of time and a half.
