(A) Benefits eligibility is dependent upon a variety of factors, including employee classification. Department heads may identify the programs for which employees are eligible. Details of many of these programs may be found elsewhere in this chapter.
(B) The following benefit programs are available to eligible employees:
(1) Benefit continuation (COBRA).
(2) Bereavement leave.
(3) Clothing and uniform allowances.
(4) Education and career development.
(5) Family and medical leave (FMLA).
(6) Health insurance.
(7) Holidays.
(8) Indiana Public Retirement System (INPRS).
(9) Jury duty.
(10) Life and AD&D insurance.
(11) Military leave.
(12) Personal hour benefits.
(13) Personal leave.
(14) Sick leave benefits.
(15) Short-term disability.
(16) Time off to vote.
(17) Vacation benefits.
(18) Witness duty.
(19) Workers’ compensation insurance.
(C) Most of the benefit programs require contributions from the employee, but some are fully paid by the town.
