§ 32.02 APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS.
   (A)   In the event of a vacancy in the company, the vacancy will be filled by an application.
   (B)   Every new candidate will be placed on a probationary period of six months from the date of acceptance to membership upon passing mandatory 24-hour training. The candidate will receive a pager and be permitted to respond to all emergency calls.
   (C)   At the end of the candidate’s sixth month on probation, the members of the Fire Department will vote as to whether or not the candidate will be a regular and full-time member. Upon receiving membership, the member will be permitted to display a blue light, receive a key to the station, and receive a badge.
   (D)   For an additional six months after acceptance of membership, a member will be under direct supervision of a ranking member as to safety and fire scene protocol to insure the safety of Department members. During this period it is expected that direction and supervision be respected at operation and site scene activities; if not, it will be received by elected officers as a violation of standard operating guidelines.
