A. Purpose: The purpose of this section is to protect public health, comfort and environment.
B. Definitions: As used in this section, the following terms shall have the following respective meanings:
CITY OWNED BUILDINGS: All interior portions of city hall, all interior portions of the wastewater treatment facility buildings, all interior portions of park shelters presently in existence, and all interior portions of buildings constructed or purchased by the city after the effective date hereof.
CITY OWNED VEHICLES: All vehicles, including, but not limited to, trucks, snowplows, firetrucks and rescue vans, currently owned by the city and any and all vehicles purchased by the city after the effective date hereof.
SMOKING: Includes carrying a lighted cigar, cigarette, pipe or any other lighted smoking equipment.
C. Smoking Prohibited: No person shall smoke in city owned buildings or vehicles at any time.
D. Signs Posted: The city clerk shall post appropriate signs indicating that all city owned buildings and vehicles are no smoking areas. (Ord. 1993-9, 6-7-1993)
