§ 37.01 INSPECTION OF PUBLIC RECORDS.
   (A)   Any person may inspect public records of the town, that do not contain information that cannot be disclosed, during the regular business hours of the town.
   (B)   Any person desiring to obtain copies of public records from the town must submit a written request to the town. This written request must identify with reasonable particularity the public record being requested. This written request must be submitted to the town during the regular business hours of the town.
   (C)   The town shall review each written request for public records to determine whether the public records requested contain information that cannot be disclosed.
   (D)   If the town determines that the public records requested contain information that cannot be disclosed, the town shall notify the requester that the public record cannot be provided to them due to the fact that the record contains information that cannot be disclosed to the public. This denial shall be given to the requester not later than seven days after the written request is submitted to the town.
   (E)   If the town determines that the public records requested do not contain information which cannot be disclosed, the town shall copy said requested public records. The town shall copy said public records within a reasonable time after the written request has been submitted.
   (F)   If the town copies public records, the requester shall pay a fee for said copies. The copying fees for public records shall be the sum of the average cost of copying records by the town or $.15 per page, whichever is greater.
