(A) Holidays.
(1) New Year’s Day.*
(2) Good Friday.
(3) Memorial Day.
(4) Independence Day. If Independence Day falls on Saturdays, the employees get Friday off as the designated day off with pay. When the holiday falls on Sunday, the following Monday will be recognized as the designated day off with pay.
(5) Labor Day.
(6) Thanksgiving Day and the day after Thanksgiving.
(7) Christmas Day.*
* If Christmas and/or New Year’s Day fall during the regular work week (Monday through Friday), each employee will be dismissed at noon on Christmas Eve and /or New Year’s Eve and will report for work the day after Christmas and/or New Year’s Day. If Christmas and/or New Year’s Day fall on Saturday or Sunday, employees shall be dismissed at noon of the preceding Friday and report for work on the following Tuesday morning.
(B) A full-time police employee shall be paid eight hours straight time holiday pay at his/her regular hourly rate even though it may not be a regularly scheduled work day.
(C) A full-time utility/office employee shall be paid seven hours straight time holiday pay at his/her regular hourly rate even though it may not be a regularly scheduled work day.
(D) Salaried employees shall receive their regular salary, which will cover the holiday.
