§ 34.03 EMPLOYEES (AFTER SERVING THE PROBATIONARY PERIOD).
   (A)   If arrested for a criminal offense (Class A misdemeanors or felonies), the employee may be subject to suspension with/or without pay until the matter is resolved. The issue of pay would be decided by the Town Council on a case by case basis. The employee is to notify the supervisor immediately of the filing of charges. Failure to inform the supervisor may be grounds for dismissal.
   (B)   Employees (other than police officers) are not to carry firearms while on duty. An employee doing so is subject to dismissal.
   (C)   Any contacts with the news media must be referred to an immediate supervisor.
   (D)   Any contacts with the public must be done with a courteous, polite, and professional manner. If this is not possible, the problem should be referred to the supervisor for handling.
   (E)   Outside employment is permissible if it does not interfere with your employment with the town. This is to be determined by the Town Council department head.
   (F)   We request that employees not use their personal vehicles for town use, as they are not covered by town insurance when doing so.
   (G)   (1)   Employees will undergo periodic work evaluations with the supervisor. This will help the employee to be aware of any needs for improvement and also help the supervisor to know if there is a need for further instructions.
      (2)   The employee evaluation is to be maintained in the employee file. Supervisors shall be evaluated by the Council.
      (3)   Annual evaluations in November of each year will be used to determine pay increases for the succeeding year.
