§ 34.16 SICK LEAVE.
   (A)   Regular employees shall accrue sick leave days at the rate of one-half day per month worked, commencing with the month following the first full month of employment. Employees will be able to accumulate up to 15 days of sick leave.
   (B)   This time may be used in one-quarter hour increments.
   (C)   Sick leave is to be utilized only for the following reasons:
      (1)   Illness or injury of an employee;
      (2)   Medical or health related appointments; or
      (3)   Illness or injury within the immediate family.
   (D)   In order to qualify for sick leave pay, employees must comply with the following conditions.
      (1)   Employees shall notify their supervisor of their absence at least one hour prior to the start of their work shift. The exception would be if the employee is in the emergency room.
      (2)   Failure to notify the supervisor will result in a loss of pay and possible future actions.
   (E)   Supervisors have the right to ask for a doctor's excuse. After five days, a doctor's release is required before returning to work.
