§ 34.14 CLOTHING ALLOWANCE.
   (A)   All clothing allowances are subject to approval by the town and are not mandatory.
   (B)   Nothing should be construed as creating an obligation on the town to pay any clothing allowance or at the amounts set out below.
   (C)   Full-time town laborers shall receive clothing allowance in the amount of $500 per year ($250 per half). Town laborers who work 20 hours per week shall receive $250 per year clothing allowance. These above workers shall receive clothing allowances paid in the form of invoices for the clothing and shall not receive money paid directly to the employee, unless it is a reimbursement. In this instance, invoices (not statements) must be provided.
   (D)   Full-time police officers are to receive a total of $350 for clothing allowance each six months. This is not to be paid directly to the officer unless it is a reimbursement. Invoices (not statements) must be provided.
   (E)   Police reserves are to receive clothing payments which are not to exceed $10,000 total per year or $500 per man in a six month period. The Marshal is in charge of prorating the money between the reserves since the number working can fluctuate, and has discretionary power to determine amounts. This money is to be paid directly to the reserve. Those receiving over $600 a year will be issued a 1099 at the end of the year.
